Summary of Case:	"Maurice Ladon Miller was wrongly convicted on May 11, 2005 of first degree murder and conspiracy commit robbery in the shooting death of Cecil White, 63, during an attempted robbery on January 29, 1996 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A co-defendant gave an audio taped statement that Miller was not involved in the crime, but the trial judge denied the motion of Miller's lawyer for the jury to hear the tape. After his conviction by a jury Maurice Miller was sentenced to life in prison for murder and six years in prison for his conspiracy conviction. Miller appealed. On July 5, 2006 the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals reversed Miller's conviction and ordered a new trial based on the trial judge's error of not allowing the jury to hear to exculpatory audio tape evidence. After Miller passed a polygraph in which he denied involvement in the murder and robbery, the Oklahoma County District Attorney filed a motion to dismiss the charges against Miller, which was granted on April 18, 2007."
