Summary of Case:

"Steven Moore was wrongly convicted on June 3, 2015 to one misdemeanor count of being in control of a vehicle where drugs were being illegally kept in Belknap County, New Hampshire on Nov. 14, 2014. Moore agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor, and Moore was sentenced to probation. However, prior to his plea the prosecution failed to disclose that the arresting sheriff's deputy, Justin Blanchette, was being investigated for raping a prisoner -- and he was indicted for that crime in October 2015 -- and thus his credibility as a witness was compromised. Based on the new evidence Moore filed a motion to withdraw his guilty plea, which was not opposed by the Belknap County DA's Office. On December 15, 2015 Belknap County Judge James O'Neill granted Moore's motion and vacate Moore's guilty plea, and then dismissed the charge."
