"David Tugume, Dan Mumanya and William Nuwagira were codefendants and police officers wrongly convicted of robbery in July 2002 in Mbarara, Uganda. The three were sentenced to 10 years in prison. In June 2004 Uganda's Court of Appeals quashed their convictions on the basis the prosecution did not introduce sufficient evidence to support their convictions."
