Summary of Case:	"Masood Alam Niazi and Ziaullah Khan were wrongly convicted on October 11, 2018 of public corruption charges in Karachi, Pakistan. After their convictions Masood Niazi was sentenced to 5 years in prison, and Khan was sentenced to 7 years in prison. In August 2019 the Sindh High Court set-aside their convictions and ordered their acquittal on the basis the prosecution had failed to introduce evidence proving their guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. The Court observed that none of the witnesses implicated Niazi and Khan with the allegations of misappropriation or embezzlement, and no case of misappropriation had been made out against them by the prosecution."
