"Bryden Nicolson was wrongly convicted of moving his sheep of certain genotypes on and off his farm without proper authorization in violation of government (TSE) regulations. He was fined £9,000 (about $18,000). Nicholson appealed, but prior to the Appeals Court hearing, the prosecution conceded in August 2007 that there was insufficient evidence to support his conviction. The agreed to support Nicholson's application to the Appeals Court that it "set aside" Nicholson's conviction and fine."
