Patrick Nolan was wrongly convicted in 1982 of the 1980 murder of a 64-year-old man. Nolan's conviction was based on his confession which he immediately retracted and that he claimed was made under duress by police interrogators physically mistreating him. Nolan's conviction quashed by the Court of Appeals in November 2006.
