Summary of Case:	"On January 17, 2020 North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum granted 16 pardons to people convicted of misdemeanor low-level marijuana possession or ingestion that is no longer considered illegal in the state. In November the Pardon Advisory Board recommended pardons for 26 people, but a review of the cases by the governor's office determined only 16 qualified. The pardons can make it easier for a person to get a job and housing. North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem, who supported the pardon policy that started in July, 2019, estimates that as many as 175,000 marijuana possession convictions over several decades could be eligible for a pardon."
