Summary of Case:	"Ahmet Nuhana was wrongly convicted in 2017 of drug charges in Armadale, Western Australia, Australia. Armadale is a suburb of Perth. Nuhana's prosecution was based on his alleged assisting in the processing of drugs at house that was raided by the police in April 2015. After his conviction by a jury Nuhana was sentenced to nine years in prison. Nuhana appealed on the basis that before the jury retired for deliberations, Judge Stephen Scott left the case on a different basis than the prosecutor opened, and also in a way not put to the jury by the State's evidence and argument. In April 2018 the Western Australia Court of Appeal quashed Nuhana's conviction and ordered his acquittal based on the errors by the trial judge. Two of Nuhana's codefendants, Christopher Neil Rowson and Shaun Michael Mather, were also convicted. As of April 22, 2018 it is unknown if their appeals will be successful."
