Summary of Case:	"Edmore Nyarugwe was wrongly convicted in 2015 of accepting a $300 bribe on July 28, 2014 from brothers Ronald Chasaya and Tariro Chasaya, and their friend John Mundozo, as part of a scheme to allow the trio's truck full of goods to enter Zimbabwe without being searched at Victoria Falls border post. Convicted of criminal abuse of duty as a public officer, Nyarugwe was sentenced to three months in jail suspended for 3 years of good behavior, and fined $400 fine. Nyarugwe appealed. On February 16, 2016 the High Court in Bulawayo set-aside Nyarugwe's conviction. The Court's ruling was based on the trial judge's error of overlooking evidence presented by two defense eyewitnesses, Ronald Chirikure and Gamuchirai Chirikure, who denied that Nyarugwe received a bribe. Gamuchirai Chirikure is an officer who was on duty with Nyarugwe, when the alleged crime was allegedly committed."
