"Rev. Edward Olszewski was wrongly convicted in 2002 of abusing a youth at the St. Cecilia parish in Detroit in the 1970s. The only evidence against him was the testimony of the the person who alleged the abuse. Olszewski was sentenced to three years probation. Olszewski's conviction was overturned by the Michigan Supreme Court in December 2005, and in April 2006 the Wayne County Prosecutors Office announced they would not retry him and the charge was dismissed."
