"Wrongly convicted in April 2006 of explosives and firearms and ammunition charges and sentenced to 8 years imprisonment. Omar Said Omar appealed, and in September 2008 the Nairobi High Court overturned his conviction on the basis that he was in jail on an unrelated charge at the time the crimes were committed of which he was convicted. The Court also noted the illigality that he wasn't arraigned until October 2005, more than two years after his August 2003 arrest."
