Summary of Case:

Larry Osborne was wrongly convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of two elderly women. The Kentucky Supreme Court reversed Osborne's conviction because hearsay statements by a witness who was not able to be cross-examined by Osborne were used against him. Osborne was released when the prosecution declined to reprosecute him in the absence of having any evidence he had committed the murders.
