Summary of Case:	Mohammed Osman was wrongly convicted of conspiring to contravene section 170(2)(b) of the customs and excise management act 1979. In 2001 Osman submitted an application to the Criminal Case Review Commission (CCRC) for review of his conviction as a miscarriage of justice. Osman's case was referred by the CCRC on 9/05/2005 to the England and Wales Court of Appeal (Criminal Division). On 1/18/2007 the appeals court quashed Mohammed Osman's convictions.
