Summary of Case:	"Joseph Otoo was wrongly convicted on February 28, 1997 of the 1995 robbery of a car hire depot in Manchester, England. Otoo's defense was he was mistaken identified by a witness, and that he ws being intimidated by the real robber -- whose identify was known to the police. Otoo's conviction was based on a questionable DNA test that the prosecution misused to falsely implicat him in the crime. Otoo was 17 at the time of the crime, so he was sentenced to seven years detention in a Young Offenders Institution. The Criminal Case Review Commission referred his case to the Court of Appeal on October 25, 1999. The Court of Appeal reversed quashed his conviction on January 31, 2000."
