Summary of Case:	"Wrongly convicted in 2004 of drug trafficking related to his personal possession and use of a prescription pain reducing drug for his debilitating and painful back condition resulting from a botched operation after a 1985 automobile accident. Richard Paey was sentenced in April 2004 to 25 years in prison. After his sentencing one of the jurors came forward and publicly said he was pressured to vote guilty with assurances from other jurors that Paey would not be sentenced to prison. Paey's case became a cause célèbre, and on September 20, 2007 Paey was granted a full pardon by Florida Governor Charlei Crist and released after 3-1/2 years of imprisonment."
