James Norman Perry was wrongly convicted of child sexual abuse in 2006. Perry wasn't sentenced because in February 2007 Perry's trial judge granted his post-trial motion to vacate his conviction. Perry's second trial in March 2008 ended in a mistrial with 11 of 12 jurors voting to acquit. In August 2008 the prosecution filed a motion to dismiss the charges which was granted by the judge.
