"Darryl K. Pinkins was wrongly convicted in 1991 of the rape and robbery of a woman in Lake County, Indiana. Pinkins prosecution was based on his identification by the victim. After his conviction by a jury Pinkens was sentenced to 65 years in prison. On April 25, 2016 a motion by the Lake County District Attorney's Office to dismiss the charges against Pinkens based on new exclusionary DNA evidence was granted."
