Summary of Case:

"Jennifer Lynn Plumlee was wrongly convicted in October 2019 of DUI in Henderson, Nevada. After Jennifer Plumlee (aka Jennifer Lynn Graves) was convicted in the Henderson Justice Court, she filed an appeal in the Clark County (8th Judicial) District Court on February 11, 2020. She argued that it is a Constitutional violation of the separation of powers that her prosecutor. Clark County Deputy District Attorney Melanie Scheible, is also a Nevada State Senator (D-Las Vegas). On November 9 2020 Clark County (8th Judicial) District Judge Richard Scotti reversed Plumlee's conviction, in an Order that stated in part: "This Court finds that it is fundamental to American jurisprudence that a criminal defendant shall not be prosecuted by a person who is simultaneously the law-maker and the law-enforcer of the laws of the State of Nevada.”"
