"Wrongly convicted twice in federal court of obstruction of justice. Convicted the first time in 2003, and after his conviction was reversed, again convicted after a retrial in September 2004. Second conviction reversed by the federal 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals on March 20, 2006. The U.S. Attorney's Office agreed in August 2006 that it wouldn't retry him a third time and it would drop the charge if he didn't commit any federal crimes for one year."
