Summary of Case:	"Ricardo Rachell was wrongly convicted in 2003 of a child sexual assault committed in Harris County, Texas in 2002. He was sentenced to life in prison. Post-conviction DNA testing excluded Rachell, and his conviction was oveturned and he was released on bail on December 12, 2008. Rachell's writ of habeas corpus was granted on January 14, 2009 by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, which was followed by dismissal of his charges. Rachell was awarded $493,333 in compensation by the State of Texas on February 9, 2009.. Also in February 2009 the man whose DNA profile was identified by the testing was charged."
