"Rajubhai Baria, Pankaj Gosavi, Jagdish Rajput, Lalo Devjibhai Vasava (AKA Suresh), Shailesh Tadvi were co-defendants wrongly convicted in February 2006 of murder in the deaths of 14 people on March 1, 2002 in the burning of the Best Bakery, a small bakery outlet in the Hanuman Tekri area in Vadodara, India. The five were among nine people convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. On July 9, 2012, the Bombay High Court acquitted Baria, Gosavi, Rajput, Vasava, and Tadvi on the basis of insufficient evidence, The convictions of the other four defendants were affirmed based on the testimony of the eyewitness testimony of four injured bakery employees."
