Summary of Case:

"Ali Majeed Ramadhan was wrongly convicted of participating in an illegal demonstration at Bahrain International Airport on December 25, 2005. On February 7, 2006, Ramadhan was found guilty by the Lower Criminal Court and sentenced to two years. After his conviction, Ramadhan's lawyers presented proof to the High Criminal Appeal Court that he was uninvolved in the demonstration, and that he just happened to be at the airport's arrival lounge at the time of the demonstration. The Court quashed Ramadhan's conviction on June 6, 2006, and he was released after 5-1/2 months imprisonment."
