Summary of Case:

"Co-defendant of 'Anderson Lusinde and Nahau Haruna. The three men were wrongly convicted of committing an armed robbery in 2000 based on the line-up identification by two eyewitnesses. Each man was sentenced to 30 years in prison. When interviewed by the police, the eyewitnesses did not describe the physique or clothes worn by the men they only saw at night with no artificial light. The witnesses only pointed the three men out during a line-up -- and there was no other evidence linking the men to the crime. The men's convictions were overturned on appeal in April 2007, based on the lack of a description provided by the eyewitness and the absence of any corroborating evidence. The State's Attorney did not oppose the men's appeal, conceding the inadequacy of their identification."
