Summary of Case:	"Neal Redick was wrongly convicted in 1992 of criminal sexual conduct in Genesee County, Michigan based solely on the testimony of the alleged victim. Based on the complainant's post-conviction recantation, Redick's conviction was overturned and the charges dismissed on December 15, 2007. Redick filed a claim under Michigan's Wrongful Imprisonment Compensation Act that awards $50,000 per year of incarceration. On May 17, 2019 the Michigan attorney general's office announced Redick would receive $780,000 compensation. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a statement: "We have an obligation to provide compassionate compensation to these men for the harm they suffered.""
