"George Stanley Revelle was wrongly convicted on February 11, 1996 of murdering his wife on September 27, 1994 in their Fremont Hills, Missouri home. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Revelle's conviction was overturned on November 12, 1997 by the Missouri Court of Appeals (en banc) on the ground that a letter written by his wife Lisa six months before her murder was hearsay and inadmissible. George Revelle was retried and acquitted by a jury on December 13, 1998." |
