"Henry Myron Roberts was posthumously exonerated in April 2002 -- 5-1-2 years after dying in prison on December 22, 1996 at the age of 68 -- when prosecutors acknowledged Henry Roberts was innocent of shooting his nephew after the actual killer confessed. Mr. Roberts was critically wounded when his nephew was killed, and he had tirelessly proclaimed his innocence in hundreds of letters written while in prison."
