Summary of Case:

"One of the Wenatchee 43. They were 43 adults in the Wenatchee, WA area arrested in 1994-1995 on a total of 29,726 counts of rape or molestation involving 60 children that were fabricated by the police, state child service workers and prosecutors. Michael Rose was wrongly convicted in March 1995 of raping and molesting two boys. His conviction was reversed on December 5, 2000, and he was released from prison two days later, on December 7th. He was the last of the 19 Wenatchee defendant's convicted to be released from prison. He was wrongly imprisoned for six years."

Conviction Caused By:

"Two children falsely testified against Rose under pressure by Wenatchee police detective Bob Perez and Wash. State social workers. One of the children was a boy that had an IQ of 49 and was diagnosed as being "highly suggestible and easily influenceable." The child's mother, Cherie Town, also recanted her allegations against Rose and another Wenatchee defendant, Randall Reed, that were identicable to each other."
