Summary of Case:	"Stanley Scott Sadler was wrongly convicted of sexually exploiting a minor in 2006. Stanley Sadler met a girl over the Internet where she advertised herself as 19-years-old and a willing sexual partner. When they met the girl showed him identification to prove her age. They had sex and he took some provacative pictures of her while she staid at his house. He emailed some of the pictures to a friend. Sadler was arrested when the girl was reported missing and his address was found on her computer. Sadler was tried for rape and kidnapping, but the jury acquitted him because he had reason to believe she was over 18, but he was convicted of sexual exploitation by emailing the pictures without her consent. On direct appeal the Washington Court of Appeals ruled on October 14, 2008 that the judge deprived Sadler of his constitutional right to a public trial by conducting some of the jury selection outside the main courtroom, and that his right against unreasonable search and seizure may have been violated by the police obtaining a warrant by using information obtained when they made an illegal entry into Sadler's house."
