"Andrew Seesahai was wrongly convicted on March 21, 2012 of stealing $7,500 from his employer RJR Distributors Ltd. of Freeport,Trinidad & Tobago. Seesahai's theft charge was based on his receipt of $7,500 from a customer that he had delivered a load of soft drinks, and which he said was robbed from him on his way back to his employer's office. After Seesahai's conviction he was sentenced to nine months imprisonment at hard labor. On September 26, 2013 the Court of Appeals quashed Seesahai's conviction on the basis there was insufficient evidence of his guilt and the charge was dismissed."
