Summary of Case:

"Dr. Samuel Sheppard was wrongly convicted in 1954 of murdering his wife. His conviction was reversed by the U.S. Sup. Ct. and he was acquitted when retried. Although some people claim his case served as the model for "The Fugitive" TV show, the creator of the program denied it. DNA tests in the 1990s identified that the assailant was a mentally imbalanced man who had worked in the Sheppard home."
