Summary of Case:	"Mam Sonando, the owner of an independent radio station in Cambodia, was wrongly convicted in October 2012 in Phnom Penh Municipal Court of being involved in a secession plot against the Cambodian government. As the purported leader Sonando was sentenced to 20 years in prison. In March 2013 Cambodia's Court of Appeals, at the request of the prosecution, quashed Sonando's conviction and sentence and substituted a conviction of illegal logging for which he was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment with all but 8 months -- the time he had spent in custody -- suspended. The convictions of Sonando's two codefendants -- Touch Ream and Kan Sovann -- were not quashed, but the appeals court ordered them released at the same time as Sonando by suspending all of their sentences they hadn't served. The three were released from Prey Sar prison on March 15, 2013."
