Summary of Case:	"Robert Stewart and Richard Mallory were co-defendants. Both men were convicted in February 2000 of the January 16, 1990 murder of a man and his pregnant wife in Cumberland, Ontario. Their trial was the second longest in Canadian history. The men's convictions were overturned on appeal and a retrial ordered on January 12, 2007. Both men were released on February 27, 2007 after more than 16 years of wrongful imprisonment. They were also co-defendants of James Sauvé and Richard Trudel whose convictions of first-degree murder in May 1996 after the longest trial in Canadian history were overturned in 2004. Their trial was severed from the trial of Stewart and Mallory. All four men were arrested in December 1990."
