Summary of Case:	"Robert Sutton was wrongly convicted in October 2005 of two violent rapes and assault charges based on the testimony by three victims. Sutton, the owner of the Happy Angler store in Mourea, New Zealand, was sentenced to ten years imprisonment. In August 2006 the Court of Appeals quashed his convictions. Sutton was released on bail after 10 months and one day of imprisonment, pending his retrial. A year later, in August 2007, the prosecution announced he would not be retried and the charges were dismissed. In September 2008 his main accuser, a former girlfriend, Marion Anne Carter, pled guilty to perverting the course of justice by falsely accusing him of rape and trying to gather fake evidence so he could be falsely convicted of the other crimes. She was sentenced to 50 hours of community service."
