"James Tam Ping-cheong and Lionel Krieger were codefendants wrongly convicted in Hong Kong in February 2012 of offering bribes between January 2002 and December 2006 to Ao Man-long in return for three contracts with the Macau government. Both Krieger and Ping-cheong were sentenced 3 years and 3 months. On December 18, 2013 Hong Kong's Court of Appeals quashed Krieger and Ping-cheong's convictions on the basis the alleged crimes didn't occur in Hong Kong so the court's had no jurisdiction."
