Summary of Case:	"Convicted in December 2004 of indecently assaulting a 13-year-old girl. There was no physical evidence and David Thackeray's conviction was solely based on the alleged victim's testimony. Thackeray was sentenced to one year in prison and ten years of supervision. Thackeray's conviction was affirmed in March 2005 and he was released after serving his sentence. Thackeray then obtained information that the girl had made up false assault allegations against other males, including one just a month after those she made against Thackeray. He filed a new appeal and after holding a hearing in June 2008, the Court of Appeal quashed his conviction in July 2008 based on the new evidence of the alleged victims unreliable testimony."
