Summary of Case:	"Ryan Mark Thompson was wrongly convicted of refusing to take a urine test after he was arrested on April 13, 2012 on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. After his conviction in Steele County following a bench trial, Thompson appealed. On December 28, 2015 the Minnesota Court of Appeals reversed Ryan Mark Thompson's conviction on the basis the statute authorizing the police to obtain his urine without a warrant violated his constitutional right to substantive due process under the federal and the Minnesota Constitutions, and thus the test results were inadmissible as fruits of the poisonous tree."
