"Chad Wayne Tiller was wrongly convicted of possession of a controlled substance in Harris County, Texas. Tiller was sentenced to 3 years in prison. A post-conviction analysis of the substance showed that the substance in his possession was not a controlled substance. Based on the new evidence Velasquez filed a habeas corpus petition that the trial judge recommended by granted. On July 27, 2016 the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals granted Tiller petition." |
