Summary of Case: |
"Robert M.Tite was wrongly convicted in 2010 of "wrongful entrustment" for allowing his son to drive his truck when his son had a suspended driver's license. Tite was sentenced to 60 days in jail, 5 yrs probation and a $500 fine. In October 2011 the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals in Toledo ruled that insufficient evidence was presented to support Tite's conviction. The court "Proof of a parent-child relationship alone is insufficient to create a presumption of a parent's knowledge that their child's driving privileges were under suspension."" |
