Summary of Case:	"Kareem Torain was wrongly convicted by a jury in May 2002 of drug charges in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was sentenced in September 2003 to 12-1/2 to 22-1/2 years in prison. Torain's conviction was overturned and he was released in February 2014 after evidence was discovered during an investigation of police corruption that he had been framed. Officers didn't see him with any drugs and didn't find any on him when he was searched. The Philadelphia police fabricated their report and lied during his trial that they found drugs on him. In March 2014 Torain filed a federal civil rights lawsuit that among its defendants named the City of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Police Department, and several of its officers."
