Summary of Case:

"Keith Edward Turner was wrongly convicted in 1983 of a 1982 rape. Turner's conviction was based on the victim's erroneous identification of both his physical appearance and his voice. Turner and the victim worked for the same company at different branches. They came into contact when Keith Turner was transferred. The jury disregarded Turner's alibi. He was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison. He served four years before being paroled. DNA testing of crime scene evidence unavailable at the time of Turner's trial excluded him as the woman's attacker, and he was pardoned on December 22, 2005, by Texas Governor Rick Perry on the basis of his actual innocence. Keith Turner was still on parole, 22 years after his wrongful conviction at the time of his pardon."
