Summary of Case:	"Armand Villasana was exonerated of rape and kidnapping by DNA tests conducted after his conviction, but prior to his sentencing. Armand Villasana was released after 21 months of wrongful imprisonment. In August 2007 Villasana's accuser publicly admitted that she falsely accused him to cover-up an extra-marital affair from her husband. In August 2008 Missouri's Attorney General announced he would not oppose the payment of $11,250 under Missouri's wrongful conviction compensation statute that allows for the payment of $50 for each day of Villasana's imprisonment (225 days) after conviction. Villasana would receive no payment for the 1-1/2 years he spent in jail awaiting trial."
