Summary of Case:	"Marius Voiculescu was wrongly convicted of possessing 0.004 ounces of ganja when he was arrested at the airport in Grand Cayman while at the airport to return to his native Canada for a vacation. Marius Voiculescu was sentenced to a fine of $400 plus $85 for testing the cigarettes. The Cayman Islands does not provide public defenders for alleged ganja offenses, so Voiculescu is reported to have spent in excess of $30,000 fighting the charge. On August 25, 2010 the Cayman Islands Court of Appeal affirmed the acquittal of Voiculescu on the basis there was no evidence he had any knowledge of the ganja."
