Summary of Case:	"Yip Wai-cheong was wrongly convicted in 2015 of violating Hong Kong's Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (Financial Institutions) Ordinance, for operating a money service without a license from 2012 to 2014. After his conviction Wai-cheong was fined HK$5,000. He appealed. On January 19, 2016 Hong Kong's Court of First Instance ruled that Wai-cheong simply took the money from his clients to assist them in making purchases in online e-commerce platform Taobao. Consequently, Deputy High Court Judge Poon Siu-tung wrote, “The nature of his business is therefore not in remittance service and hence he was not operating a money service.”"
