Summary of Case: |
"William Wallace was wrongly convicted of murdering his wife Julia Wallace and sentenced to death. William Wallace was convicted due to police investigators influencing witnesses to testimony that they saw William near his home at times other than when they actually did, in order to undermine William's airtight alibi of not being at home when his wife was murdered. Court of Appeals quashed William Wallace's conviction based on insufficient evidence and he was released after about six months imprisonment. His wife's killer was never positively identified or prosecuted. Made into the movie - The Man From Pru - 1995." |
