"Gregory Wallis was wrongly convicted in 1989 of committing a 1988 burglary with the intent to commit sexual assault based on the eyewitness identification of the victim. Sentenced to 50 years in prison. Gregory Wayne Wallis was excluded as the assailant by DNA testing unavailable at the time of his conviction. Released from prison in March 2006 after being wrongly imprisoned for 18 years. He was officially exonerated when the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals granted his Writ of Habeas Corpus on January 10, 2007. "
