Summary of Case:	"Michael Walters was wrongly convicted in 2006 of threatening to inflict bodily harm on a member of a Wenona, Illinois City Council if she continued to call for his firing. The council member previously asked for Walters’ resignation when it was learned that he hired a part-time police officer with a misdemeanor conviction. In October 2008 the Illinois Court of Appeal overturned Walter's conviction. The Court ruled Walters' was "childish, rude and unprofessional" in the incident, but there was insufficient evidence to support a guilty verdict and ordered his acquittal."
