Summary of Case:	"Douglas Arthur Warney was wrongly convicted of murder based on a false confession. Douglas Warney was sentenced to 25 years in prison. In the spring of 2006 DNA tests excluded Warney as the assailant and implicated another man already in prison for a murder committed two weeks after the murder Warney was convicted of committing. When questioned, the suspect admitted to the murder Warney had been convicted of committing, and said he acted alone. Based on the exclusionary DNA test and the apparent perpetrator's confession, the prosecution dropped the charges against Warney and he was released on May 16, 2006, after almost 10-1/2 years of wrongful imprisonment."
