"Trevor Wickens was wrongly convicted of murder. In 1999 Wickens submitted an application to the Criminal Case Review Commission (CCRC) for review of his conviction as a miscarriage of justice. Wickens's case was referred by the CCRC on 5/30/2002 to the England and Wales Court of Appeal (Criminal Division). On June 10, 2003 the Court of Appeals court quashed Trevor Wickens's convictions, and he was freed from prison on June 17, 2003."
