Summary of Case:

"Wrongly convicted in 1994 and fined £1,000 for failing to execute a Banstead Borough Council enforcement order to clear his farm of machinery and other items. On November 28, 2006, Wilkinson's conviction was quashed, and he was ordered entitled to reclaim £800 his legal expenses preparing for the appeal. After his conviction was quashed he collapsed outside the courtroom and he received emergency first-aid by paramedics. His collapse was attributed to the stress of his appeal and the successful outcome after 12 years. Wilkinson claims that he lost several hundred thousand pounds from the forcible clearing of his land."
