"Basil Williams-Rigby was wrongly convicted of child abuse. Worked at the same approved child care school in Merseyside as Michael Lawson, also wrongly convicted of child abuse and exonerated and released from prison the same day - March 14, 2003. Convicted solely based on the sensationalism of the charges, without any corroborating evidence based on complainants who only came forward after police "trawled" for alleged victims by writing to former residents of his home care business asking if they had complaints. First arrested in December 1997, and convicted of 22 out of 47 child abuse counts in 1999."
